Enterprise Architecture and Hand Waving

Hand waving is among other things, a metaphor for avoiding communication...



When you combine a savage focus on communication and soft skills with enterprise architecture something emerges that remind me of Jedi mind tricks. Many enterprise architects have been forced to master the fine art of hand waving where upon being confronted by a hard problem, explain it away as an artifact of an incorrect point of view or an emotional reaction.

Powerpoint is the ultimate Yoda trick in that we can bombard folks with facts and references in the form of bullets that we fire at their noggins while periodically introducing logical fallacy and comic diversion...
