Most enterprise architects are confused about technology, confused about business and of course confused about how to approach most challenging situations. For those who have transitioned into an enterprise architecture role, you will probably feel the reality of the annual review cycle where you are no longer measured on what you know but more on your behavior towards confusion.
For those who have struggled to thrive in a culture of confusion, there are five steps that you need to take:

1 - Acknowledge the confusing situation (and the negatives associated with it)
2 - Assert need for reasonable solution (do not fake confidence)
3 - Structured interaction with others to achieve a common problem solving process
4 - Active listening to input from others
5 - "thinking out loud" about the new information gathered from others
