  • Big Name Companies using Ruby on Rails
    Obie Fernandez posts a list of large companies using Ruby. What he intentionally left off was how they are using Ruby! No mention of whether it was running a mission-critical enterprise application supporting thousands of users concurrently or was it running an application used by only two people twice a year for ten minutes.

  • Receptacles
    A debate amongst electricians has always been whether ground should be up or down. Now it seems as if this has been solved.

  • Demings rules of management and Agile Methods
    Sage wisdom is dangerous. For example the phrase: Move towards a single supplier for any one item doesn't take into consideration risk. Likewise, it is important to encourage commoditization and this strategy in an IT sense doesn't lead to it.

  • What's wrong with current corporate systems?
    I would hope that James Tarbell could expand on this one...
