Are Software Upgrades a trap?
In many segments of the sector, vendors have a difficult time convincing customers to upgrade to newer versions of their products when installed versions work adequately. I suspect that J2EE application servers, operating systems, ECM platforms and most other things frequently discussed by industry analysts in blogs have reached this status.
