Another Untold Story in the World of Identity Management

I have told the same story regarding identity management awhile back and how software vendors are providing questionable guidance in the blogosphere. Luckily, there is still folks providing an alternative perspective.

Have you ever heard of Jackson Shaw? You should check out This blog entry and how it may make better sense to consolidate identities into Active Directory rather than buying a tool to spray identities throughout thousands of hosts and applications using proprietary connectors.

It would be intriguing if the likes of Pat Patterson, Jeff Bohren and Nishant Kaushik can provide their perspectives on consolidating identity rather than managing it. Of course, I expect the hybrid answer of both but in all reality, if one is 100% consolidated then why would you require another tool?
